Tis the Season

Baby it's cold outside! Winter is here and I LOVE cuddling up. Now I just need Boogs here to cuddle. Fatty isn't much for cuddling.

Brain Development

So being that Zoey can hear everything I say and even some external noises I am starting to play her some music. I already have some restrictions on what my child can listen to. No modern music (rap, rock, pop) because she gets enough of that when I sing along to the radio. Rather than all of that I play classical and scores. Every night I have her listen to the song "Love Song" from the 70s movie Love Song. I actually have it played from a little jewelery box of mine. However, I MUST have her listen to classical music. Music my Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and man others have been known to help develop the brain. Do you think they know what they were doing when they were composing their master pieces? Amazing. Wish I could put a dent into history AND science the way they have. Zoey might not know it yet, but she will learn to love the classics. I can only hope that she learns to play the piano and I can sit and listen to her practice.

Day 6 of P.C. Part II

OK, so yesterday I stated that I would like to be Natalie Portman for a day. TOTALLY change my mind. Who else then Anthony Bourdain!! He gets to travel and eat AMAZING food! I want to be him for a day. If I ever get the chance to do what he does for a living on No Reservation I would do it in a heart beat. Yum!! I would just cut back on his foul mouth ways :)

Day 6 of P.C.

Who would I want to Be for A Day:

I would have to say Natalie Portman, and for various reasons. She is beautiful, she is educated (Yale graduate), she has the money to pamper herself or to travel anywhere (even for a day would be an accomplishment). She seems to be an awesome heart warming person. She is family orienetd and as far as I know she doesn't have any scandals against her :)

Day 5 of P.C.

Favorite Memory:
At a very young age my Mom, Bro and I have been hiking/bouldering at Chatsworth park. We always had awesome times from climbing the rocks to watching the train go by. Was always a good time and will remain to be a good time whenever we go.

Aquarium of the Pacific

JELLIES!!

My friends and I are always trying to go somewhere new whether it be somewhere to eat, learn, have fun, or all combined. The other week we decided to go to the Aquarium of the Pacific. We got to pet sharks, jelly fish, star fish, sea erchents, diamond rays, and a few other things.
(Yup, that's my stomach sitting on the counter top)
T wasn't much for touching things, but she did get right in the middle of the fishies!
We also got to play with the birdies. M was a little concerned about their bodily fluids being expelled.
It was an over all good day. Did you know that killer whales aren't whales at all, but are actually a type of dolphin? Yup, true fact. We finished the day with a walk along the water and a hefty meal at Famous Daves. Can't wait for our next adventure. If you would ever like to join just let me know :)

Day 2 of P.C.

Today I am to post a picture of the person that I have been the closest with for the longest period of time. That would be my Boogs. Since I had to put down 10 facts (random that they may be) for me I thought I would do the same for him:
1) He is an avid dog lover
2) Loves UFC and knows all the moves in the book for UFC (although I'm not sure if he could apply them if he needed to)
3) Although he acts tough he melts over the cutest things
4) He can do a weird double joint pop thing with his thumbs that freak be out every time
5) He is super funny, but can be morbid at the same time :-/
6) Soon to be a Daddy
7) Avid chargers fan
8) Is willing to try ( and I mean eating) anything, including a balut
9) If he doesn't know you very well it can be years till you ever hear him talk, if he does know you, you wont be able to get him to shut up.
10) He loves me <3

It's a ZOEY!!

Well as you can see from the video we are having a GIRL!!! Yay. We are super excited. Found out on my birthday, best gift ever. She is going to be Daddy's little girl. I cannot wait to see Mario hold his precious little baby. We have not yet came up with a middle name, but things are coming together.

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with the blog, a lot has been going on with school and other things. As of today I am 22 weeks and am 37 inches around. Crazy. It is getting harder to move around, tie my shoes, which Mario helped me with the other day, and my back it starting to die. Got some comfortable shoes to help me out though. They are pink and pretty. Halloween just passed and I was of course, Juno. It was just a bit ironic that I would actually get to play the part when everyone at the Brown Center call me Juno. Thought it was funny.

I finally got me some maternity clothes and they are pretty comfortable when I want to dress up. The only time I could really be comfortable before that was in my running shorts and sweats, which I pretty much love anyway. However, it was hard to go out with friends and feel and look decent. Didn't clean my one pair of maternity work pants so I had to wear some slacks. Had to use a rubber band to make it comfortable. Been playing music from a certain music box of mine. Do any of you have an suggestion that I should play for her? Mario had me put him on speaker so he could talk to her in Spanish. Too cute.

Well everyone. Hope all is well and i will try and keep up with my blog. Thanks for following.

Autumn

They say we don't get the chance to witness the changing of the leaves here in California. However, I think this leaf is a perfect example that we do. Happy Autumn everyone.

18 weeks and 4 Month Belly Pic

Hello friends and fam. This week I am 18 weeks and Turtle is the size of a large sweet potato. Who knows how large a large sweet potato is? Not I. Turtle is 5.5 inches long from top of the head to bottom of it's butt. Teehee. Turtle has been nudging a lot lately, mostly at night. It is such a neat feeling and I cannot wait until Boogs can experience it as well. Super exciting! We will be finding out whether Turtle is a boy or girl on Nov 4th. YAY!! Cannot wait.

As you can see from my picture I'm starting to protrude a bit more. I am 35 inches around (weird), and I swear I can feel my skin stretching. And my pants are getting tight. I'm sorry, but I don't know how girls can have muffin tops!! This feeling of be uncomfortable will forever keep me from letting myself go. I think I might go get my first set of maternity clothes tomorrow. We shall see how that all goes.

Remember people, you can always comment on these post so I know I'm not typing just to type :)

Pregger Dreams

OK, these pregger dreams are crazy. I mean I did dream when I was not pregnant, but these dreams are vivid. I thought Boogs only had crazy dreams with a bunch of details, but I have now joined the group. I had my first look at my "dream baby" last night. It was a boy and it had manly chest and back hair. This hair was thick and curly. His skin was also chapped and dry. I just kept looking at it thinking, "Boogs was a hairy baby, but I am pretty sure he wasn't THIS hairy." Craziness let me tell you. I also had a sad dream that had me waking up crying. That was a first as well. Pretty sure it was the hormones, but who knows. And can you believe I was crying over a hamster? Like I said, weird crazy dreams. I hope that tonight's dreams are a bit more uplifting. We shall see.

17 weeks

OK. First off, feeling Turtle kick on his/her very own for the first time THIS VERY SECOND!! Oh my goodness how exciting! So today Turtle is 17 weeks (in the tummy). Turtle's cartilage is changing to bone, is about 5 ounces and is about 5 inches long :) Turtle is the size of a large onion today.

And my belly is beginning to get larger and evidently it is beginning to become a bit more obvious. A client at the Center yesterday asked,
"Are you pregnant?"
".......is it showing?"
"Yes, a bit."
"So it begins, yes I am."
No more hiding it from the world. Not that I was hiding it, but I told who I wanted to know and let everyone else just figure it out for themselves. So if I told you, feel loved <3 It will be harder to hide now, although the cooling of the weather calls for sweats and hoodies so I can cover it a bit and be much more comfortable. I am not excited about people touching the tummy, and it is happening more and more now. I have decided when someone rubs my tummy I am just going to be forced to rub their tummies back. Logical solution, right? Thought so.

Turtle Tab

Alrighty friends and fam. It has been nearly a year since I have put in an entry about my life. I thought today would be a good day to start and have the fam actually follow along. So new news to the blogger I am totally Prego. Today I am marked at 15 weeks. I am through the first trimester and going strong. The first trimester was pretty difficult with much fatigue and queasyness. No fun, let me tell ya. Due to a grand friend of mine I have been following the growth of my little one, Turtle (as of now till we know the sex). Today it is about 4 inches long from crown to rump. It is using all of its joints and moving around, but not noticeably. It had also stated that Turtle's eyes are still sealed shut, but can detect light. In fact, if i was to bring a flashlight to my tummy it would move away from the light. Informing my mother of this she does just that, goes to her room and grabs the flash light. As I add a little pressure to my tummy on the left side my Mom puts the light to the right. Suddenly, there is a thump on the left... movement... The first time I have ever felt my little one move. Let me state that it was the most amazing thing ever. I instantly got teary eyed. Wish Boogs was here to witness this and be a part, but duty calls.
